Is this why I've been thinking of her for the past month?? A group of women who were all her friends in Covina met last month and we were all trading Maryellen stories.
Maryellen lived just a few doors down from me on Albertson in Covina. She was my closest friend for many years. We got into lots of trouble together and giggled our way through some tight scrapes. She was always loyal, full of life and joy, and she ALWAYS had animals in her life. It seemed like every stray and every odd animal gravitated to Maryellen.
We drifted apart as we started lives away from the old street. She married Chris and had her children, and I moved away from Covina. We just never saw each other after that. I was surprised to receive your e mail Patrick, I didn't even know that she knew where to reach me.
This is a sad, sad loss for everyone. I have wonderful memories of our times and our love for each other. But memories aren't enough and I ALWAYS thought that we would someday stretch out under the stars as we used to, and catch up with a zillion funny stories.

Good bye dear Maryellen.
